They've got a great store there, too.Back in early May, 2016, the Indianapolis Admirals held the 2nd annual Fun Float in Avon, Indiana, this year also inviting the local flying club and electric car club for which there had been a new track built by Hendricks County at the park. Judging from your post, it'd probably be right up your alley. You should check out Indy RC on a race weekend man. It has only been open for about a year or so, but they also get a pretty good regular turnout. It is an indoor 1/10 electric carpet track. Worth (almost near White Settlement) is the RCCA track. It is a bit of a stroll from our area, but over on the far side of Ft. They are a 1/10 scale indoor nitro/electric offroad track. Those races won't start back up until next year, though (they don't run them there during winter). They are a lot of fun in that that it is a really laid back kind of deal. Banana Raceway in Richardson closed, but the same group now regularly hosts parking lot races at Lonestar in Richardson. There isn't too much in our immediate area, but there are still some tracks around. I'm like 5 minutes from T&T's current location now. Https:/ / / products/ landing/ unlimited-desert-racer/
She has a point - it'd take up some more space that we don't have, but one of these days I'm going to have to pull rank and bring that sucker home! It's going to happen.she'll just have to suck it up. Being 1/5 scale, it is pretty darn large, and she doesn't want it added to rest of the stuff I've normally got laying all over our house. The only reason I don't own one - the wife.
It is just about a perfect scale replica in every way to the full size version. The thing is so stupid cool.even just to look at sitting still. Obviously it is just one brand there since it is a factory store, but man, they've got some seriously neat stuff.Ī couple years ago Traxxas released a 1/5 scale desert trophy truck. You should poke your head in there one day.
Anyway, if there was someplace to race them around the Allen / Plano / Frisco / McKinney area, I could sure get back into that! Pulling the wheels off the ground coming out of turns two and four. You could turn those motors up hot enough to just finish a race on a set of batteries. I had a 10th scale winged dirt car on batteries and modified motors that were a ton of fun too. Even use to be some indoor places to race them. I graduated to the 10th scale Nitro gas cars, and man they were FAST and fun. But we use to race RC car's in the parking lot on Sunday afternoons. There was T&T Hobbies on Spring Creek and 75, but they are down on 15th now I believe.
I use to have RC cars and they were a blast. Place is huge, never been in but the website looks pretty cool. I pass it all the time going to my daughters house. I can just about promise that after that trip, you'll have been bitten by the bug! Again.just look! Talk to the dudes that work at both those places. Then ride down to Lonestar Hobbies on the NW corner of Beltline and Coit. They have a factory store attached (it is a HUGE facility that it is part of). Right there on the north side of 121, just west of 75, is the Traxxas corporate headquarters. You should take an afternoon, take a ride, and hit up two places.just to look. To add to what I said above.I see that you're up in Allen.
